VOC Calculator

This application can be used to calculate Volatile Organic Content levels (VOC levels). VOC is a combination of traditional solvents, ultra low molecular weight polymers and in some cases reactants from the cross linking (curing) reaction that are lost to the atmosphere as the coating is applied and "dries".

For heavy duty coatings there are currently two accepted methods, which can  give different results for the same coating.

Choose a Region

The region selected will limit the product offer to those  available in the region and determine the VOC method* used in subsequent calculations:
Asia
Australasia
Europe/Scandinavia
North America
South America

*VOC method = Americas utilise EPA Method 24, Remainder utilise  UK P6/23(2) Appendix 3.
Waterbased, 100% solids and Thinners use calculated figures

International operate to the highest global standards, and we are always striving to improve our products and their impact on the environment. There are many ways to reduce VOC including.

Selecting Higher solids coatings
Using the latest waterbased technology
Reducing the amount of coating used by using less coats of High performance coatings
